Undugu is the Swahili word for “kinship,” or like a family.

This guides us in everything we do, from the farm to the roaster.

Farm to cup

The Undugu team began in Kenya, a trio of farming, processing, and milling specialists. Undugu works directly with partner farms and focuses the supply chain within the local economy. This means more transparency and better prices for farmers, and better beans for you.

“If you want to meet the people who grow your coffee, we’ll set up a call. Or, come visit us in Kenya!”

— our promise

A brilliant cup

Kenya coffee beans are known for their clean cup and bright acidity. We take things further to enhance the quality from this great growing region.

As always, it starts with the land. Working directly with farms allows Undugu to offer single-site origin and even single-block coffees, unlocking the unique flavors of the terroir.

Undugu takes the unique step of controlling the fermentation step of the washed coffee process. This brings out the best in the beans and eliminates bad-tasting microbes.
